With its fast 7.1:1 ratio, compact profile and high capacity, the Wombat 71 LJ casting reel is designed for light jigging, madai, tenya and other trendy Japanese techniques.
The Wombat 71 LJ will also be an ally of choice for your vertical fishing with the soft lure of leagues, cod and other meagre.
Built around a monobloc aluminum structure, its compact low-profile design combined with proven mechanics makes it an ideal reel to equip our Salt Sniper and Shükan rods.

Description
With a fast ratio, it is perfect for jigging fishing, as they are often practiced at great depth.
A casting reel with the ratio too slow (< 7.1:1) would quickly be very unpleasant to use during the animations and the lifts of the lure.
You will notice its adjustable crank with a large EVA handle, ensuring a comfortable grip and its powerful combat brake, capable of stopping any marine predator that tries to take refuge in its den.
Mounted on our slow jig rods Salt Sniper or Shükan, these reels will make a light, compact and quite powerful set.
