How to choose your Fireball / Inchiku rod?

  • Action: a fast to regular/fast action transmits lure movements efficiently, ensures solid hooksets, while keeping enough flexibility to absorb headshakes.
  • Length: 1.80–2.10 m = versatility and comfort for boat fishing; 1.60–1.80 m = maximum maneuverability close to the bottom.
  • Power / jig weight: match to depth and current: approx. 40–120 g for calm conditions, 100–200 g (and more) for stronger drifts and deeper spots.
  • Blank & components: carbon blanks for sensitivity, tangle-free guides, ergonomic reel seat and handle for vertical presentations.
  • Reel & braid: spinning 3000–5000 (or baitcasting for more precision), fine but strong braid, fluorocarbon leader adapted to target species.

FAQ – Fireball / Inchiku rods

What’s the difference between Fireball and Inchiku?
Fireball: a jig head + natural bait (live or dead) presented close to the bottom. Inchiku: a specific jig with octopus skirt, very effective on dentex, snapper and amberjack.

Can these rods be used in the Mediterranean and Atlantic?
Yes. They are designed for vertical fishing on reefs and wrecks, and also work perfectly for tropical fishing trips targeting strong predators.

What leader should I use?
Fluorocarbon adapted to species and environment, generally 0.50–0.80 mm. A neat knot ensures maximum sensitivity while keeping strength.

For the perfect combo, complete your setup with our Inchiku, Madai & Kabura lures.
