The 19SPEEDMASTER LD is a new addition to Shimano's conventional lever drag line up.

The Speedmaster LDII is a very versatile reel. Because of it's compact sizing, it can be used for many types of rods and fishing rechniques like trolling, stand-up fishing, bottom fishing and even casting. The 2-SPEED Gearing is very helpful: when the bait / lure needs to be retrieved fast, the angler can use the 5.7:1 gear ratio which winds in 107 cm per rotation of the handle. When a big fish is hooked and the angler needs to have a powerful retrieve to get the fish in, the 3.1:1 gear ratio can be used.
