The Braid is very fine, soft, supple, and casts like a dream.
Jerry Brown's Spectra solid line has very low stretch, so fish bites are easily felt and the hook-up is quick and effective. Spectra has higher strength and is also 1/3 thinner in diameter than monofilament of the same line test, so you can spool more line at a greater breaking strength onto a reel. Spectra lines have a very long life, will not rot and are not damaged by UV sunlight. They have no memory, won't swell in water or lose strength when wet.
