The RELIX HOLLOW braid allows the integration of monofilament in the splice to create an extremely strong and durable connection between the main line and the leader. Since braids are much stronger than monofilaments and knots tend to reduce the strength of braids by about 50%, a splice will provide a strength gain of about 20% over conventional connections.
