Rating

Serious kite-fishermen will tell you that kite fishing is a remarkably productive way to live bait fish offshore.
Nearly any species that swim near the surface and feeds on baitfish is tempted by struggling herring, goggle-eye, menhaden, mackerel, or mullet.

Description

Hooker Electric White Anglers Kites

Invented in China, long practiced in New Guinea and other Pacific Islands.
Kite fishing found favor in Catalina Island at the turn of the century by George Farnsworth for anglers targeting both Bluefin tuna and Swordfish with rigged flying fish.
The Tuna Club was the starting point for those anglers thinking outside the box rigging their kites directly to the line to get the desired distance between the boat and the fish.
The kite presentation of the bait is the stealthiest way to put a trolled lure or a live bait in front of weary gamefish that are put down by boats in close proximity.

Simply put, all kites don’t fly in all conditions.
You’ll need to fly different types of fishing kites in no wind, light winds, or heavy winds.
Plus, before engaging in kite-fishing, anglers must have the necessary know-how, a properly outfitted boat, and the right tackle.
Electric reels are often employed since reeling in a kite producing 15-20 pounds pressure can be tiresome.
Mono testing 50 pounds works well as a kite line for medium winds while heavier 65 to 90-pound braided lines are best for heavy-wind conditions.

Hooker Electric’s White Anglers Kites will pleasantly exceed all of your expectations.
The models fly steady in 4 to 15 knots winds (low wind) or 10 to 25 knots (high wind), allowing anglers to fly kites in lower wind conditions.
The light-weight Hooker Electric kites will eliminate a fair amount of helium needs, however, on windless days all kites will require the use of a helium balloon.
