FB63-2 Whippy / FS63-2 Whippy

The 63-2 models are the most versatile rods in the Whippy series. These rods shine when working jigs in the 70-90g range in coastal waters from 20 to 60 meters in depth. Despite their flexible tips, they have plenty of backbone and can handle fish up to up to 10kg! With lengths of 6’3”, these rods are perfect for one-pitch jigging, a slower version of high-speed vertical jigging.

FB63-4 Whippy / FS63-4 Whippy

The 63-4s are also extremely versatile models in the Whippy series. Whether you are fishing in shallow water or depths up to 80m, these rods will help you get the best action out of jigs in the 90-120g range. Please note that, while these rods may feel soft when compared to mainstream jigging rods, the 63-4 models have an astounding amount of backbone for their weight class.

The Whippy 63-5 rods are the bigger brothers of the Whippy 63-4 models. The thought process behind the increase in power was to make these rods more versatile for a wider variety of jigging techniques. While they have a similar softness to the Whippy 63-4, they have more power in the butt, which is especially important when targeting larger fish on light rods. These models are perfect when fishing in 100-150m of water with jigs near the rods’ 130g sweet spots.​​​​​​​

FS63-6 Whippy​​​​​​​

The Whippy 63-6 is a fantastic rod for fighting yellowfin tuna, amberjack, and big dogtooth tuna. The 63-6 possesses the characteristics needed to stop monster fish in strong currents. Like the other rods in the Whippy series, this model has a soft belly section with incredible back bone towards the butt. This model performs best with jigs weighing around 170g in depths of 70-200m, and its length is ideal for slide jerk jigging and one-pitch jerk jigging.​​​​​​​

FB54-8 Whippy / FS54-8 Whippy​​​​​​​

The Whippy 54-8 models were designed for big fish hunting. Just like the other rods in this series, these rods have slower actions that can’t be beat for fighting monster tuna in depths of 200m+. The slower action effectively shortens lever length and absorbs a greater amount of the load than a fast-action rod, which prevents angler exhaustion in long battles with high drag pressures.​​​​​​​
