For 2025, you will be able to discover our two new 4-section models, Travel 60 and Travel 80, whose reduced size will make your life much easier during your exotic fishing trips.

The design of the MITSIO spinning rods was based on the excellent, widely tested blanks that we had developed on the original models. Thanks to the use of “High Performance Graphite TORAY Japan” carbon, our work consisted of optimizing the qualities of the blanks while improving them in terms of casting comfort and power reserve for combat.

The MITSIO jigging models use carbon sheets from the manufacturer "Mitsubishi Japan" and are available in two versions: speed jig and slow pitch jig. For these rods too, we have managed to develop blanks with unique actions, very comfortable to use for hours on end, and endowed with phenomenal power.

To face the most merciless tropical predators, robustness is the qualifier that best suits the rods we use to live our dreams! SAKURA has taken up this challenge by developing the MITSIO lure rod series, capable of withstanding extreme compression and enduring titanic battles, while maintaining unmatched comfort of use and excellent value for money!


TRAVEL 60 lb. (Butt 44.5cm / Reel-Seat 13.5cm / Handle 21.5cm)
Featuring a tip action, it is ideal for casting long distances and giving poppers or stickbaits up to 120 g the impulses needed to "call" the fish to deep areas.
Very comfortable, this versatile rod has been designed to limit the fisherman's fatigue throughout a stay devoted to "popping" and preserve his strength for the fight.
Designed for pelagics, this Mitsio Travel 60 is perfectly suited for medium-heavy tropical techniques. Extremely easy to handle, this Mitsio Travel rod has a power range that provides enormous pleasure when facing fish commonly encountered on our coasts and in exotics: jacks from 5 to 25 kilos, tuna from 10 to 40 kilos.
Its length, approaching 2.50 m, offers a good lever arm to facilitate long-distance casting on hunts.

Designed for large pelagics, this Mitsio Travel 80 is perfectly suited for medium-heavy to heavy tropical techniques. Extremely easy to handle, it has a power range that provides enormous pleasure and safety when fighting against larger predators such as tuna, GT trevally, amberjacks and red carp.
Its length of 2.33 m is a very good compromise between maneuverability and the ability to cast over long distances when hunting.
